EDITOR’S NOTE
I met Liam in the air…
I was sipping coffee in a private lounge at Geneva international airport and, since it’s always a boring moment, I was looking around. I then noticed a young man, seen from behind, who seemed fascinated by the software he was using, and was intrigued by his obvious enjoyment of his manipulations.
I approached a little closer and saw that it wasn’t a trading platform, as I’d thought. I didn’t understand a thing about his way of navigating, but I really wanted to ask him some questions. That’s when we were called to the boarding gate. I told myself that, after all, it wasn’t a bad thing because I certainly wouldn’t have understood a thing about these new investment platforms.
Fate, however, had other plans…
After settling into my reserved seat, this young man entered the plane to sit right next to me!
So I couldn’t help but ask him what he was so passionate about. I simply expected him to politely give me the name of the program, and for me to figure it out!
Luckily, Liam is an excellent communicator, and he talked to me about his passion throughout the flight! He spoke so well about it that I was completely enthusiastic to get started right away and search for training online.
But since I couldn’t find anything simple or convincing…
I suggested him to write a formation on the subject, accompanied by short videos. While Liam liked the idea of writing such a book, he wasn’t keen on the videos, as he had never done that before.
But I told him that people would much prefer someone who is starting out sincerely, simply trying to convey relevant information, to others who try to dazzle and impress with special effects, which is completely contrary to the Swiss philosophy that prioritizes simplicity and effectiveness.
I also added:
there is no need to convince people to take a course that allows them to earn money, but rather to be as clear as possible.
